Compact Enhanced CPW-Fed Antenna for UWB Applications

This paper presents a compact antenna with co-planar waveguide (CPW) feed line for ultra-wideband (UWB) applications. The proposed consists of beveled radiating patch wide rectangular slit at its upper side and partial ground plane insertion symmetrically two-step tapers center sides, which provides operating bandwidth. is integrated narrow rectangular-shaped parasitic elements different lengths placed adjacent to radiant significantly enhance the impedance matching bandwidth, especially frequencies. measured results show an |S11| less than -10 dB bandwidth 2.5-19.8 GHz 155% fractional Simulation are in good agreement experimental measurements, exhibits validity design approach. Moreover, CPW-fed shows omnidirectional radiation patterns stable gain within operational range. low profile, light weight, large frequency ease fabrication cost material suitable UWB
